“Light and Waste“, 04'02”, candid shot, 2020

Light and Waste (2020) is a video work that emerges from a personal encounter with bodies and memories rendered invisible within the city. Through a chance moment in everyday life, artificial light seeping from waste becomes a fleeting form of visibility for what has been suppressed, devalued, and systematically pushed aside. Waste here functions not only as physical residue, but as an extension of politically silenced identities, erased memories, and burdens that have been forced to be carried. This reality is ultimately presented through irony, turning into a subtle parody through the exaggerated, almost theatrical use of light.
