“Blue of Well” (2025), Glass container on pedestal, ink-infused water and video installation

This work addresses the “huzme” that seeps to the surface from unsolved, anonymous events thrown into wells throughout history. In the paintings, the act of layering and covering I created, along with the inked water I used, became the veil of the installation. The socio-political events beneath both reveal themselves and struggle to persist in memory.
